Latvian border guards turned back 15 migrants on Tuesday, while two attempts to illegally enter the country were recorded at the Polish border on Monday.

This year, a total of 977 illegal migrants have been denied entry into Lithuania. Last year, there were more than 1,600 attempts to enter the country illegally from Belarus, and the year before that, the number was 1,002.
Since the beginning of the migration crisis caused by Belarus, Lithuanian border guards have prevented more than 25,500 foreigners from entering the country illegally.
