“The month of July is probably the brightest, best month in the entire history of Lithuanian donation, in terms of how many transplants have been done in total and how many people have been saved in this way. This is definitely a record number. (…) Our teams, our system are ready for serious work,” said Health Minister Linas Kukuraitis to journalists.

According to the Ministry of Health data, from July 14 to 25, 21 heart, liver, and kidney transplants were performed in Lithuania, and seven transplants were performed in Latvia and Poland using donor organs prepared in Lithuania.
