Meteo.lt reports that the last days of August have been characterized by cloudy, rainy, and cool weather. Fresh air flowed into Lithuania from the Norwegian Sea. Tuesday even reminded of the approaching autumn. On Wednesday, we saw some improvement in the weather (it was a bit warmer), but it still rained briefly in many places, and heavily in some areas.

Speaking about the weather in the coming days, on Thursday and the remaining days of this week, rain will fall in many districts, and there may be thunder. Daytime temperatures will often be typical of Lithuanian summer, although in some places they may not reach 20 degrees. According to current data, in the first half of the new week, due to rising atmospheric pressure, we will experience drier weather.
Saturday could be particularly rainy. Meteorologist Paulius Starkus states that the most rain on Saturday, especially in the first half of the day, should be in eastern Lithuania, where rainfall will be heavy due to a southern cyclone. A lot of rain is also forecast for Vilnius. A rather strong unpleasant northern wind will blow, with some strong gusts in places, and temperatures may reach only about 15 degrees. In western Lithuania, only short-term rains are expected.
On Sunday night, the cyclone will already retreat, so there will be less rain and it will be warmer. During the day, short-term rains are forecast in many parts of Lithuania, and the temperature should rise slightly.
