According to the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service, the most precipitation until 5 p.m. fell in Telšiai – 7.1 mm. Here the air warmed up only to 18 degrees. In Laukuva, 1.1 mm was recorded, in Raseiniai – 0.1 mm, in Biržai – 0.9 mm of precipitation. In Klaipėda and Nida, the temperature was about 20 degrees, but no rain was recorded yet.

Meanwhile, in the central and eastern parts of Lithuania, much warmer weather still prevails. In Šiauliai, around 5 p.m., thermometers showed 25 degrees, in Panevėžys – 24, in Ukmergė, Vilnius, and Kybartai – 26, and in Utena and Lazdijai – even 27 degrees of warmth. In many of these areas, there was still no precipitation.
Precipitation forecast maps show that in the evening the most active rain and thunderstorm band will stretch from the northwest through the central part of Lithuania towards the southern districts. The areas around Šiauliai, Raseiniai, Kaunas, and Alytus may experience the heaviest showers, and later the precipitation zone will move eastward. In some places, the rain will be heavy, accompanied by thunder.
