From August 10 to 16, the average price in the Lithuanian price zone of the Nord Pool exchange increased by 70% to 67 euros per megawatt-hour (MWh). In Latvia, the price was the same, in Estonia – 44 euros, Litgrid reported on Monday.

Deividas Šikšnys, head of the Market Development Department at Litgrid, says that prices remained low during sunny periods on weekends and weekdays, but the evening price peak and high price at night caused the average price to be higher.
