„What is most relevant now – the heating season is approaching. Due to the rising cost of biofuel – we see that it has been getting more expensive since the beginning of the year and this summer it reached prices that are usually seen in winter – we will definitely have higher heat prices, which will be driven up by both biofuel (…) and more expensive gas. We also see that gas prices have been rising for two months in a row and are currently almost half more expensive than they were a year ago. The nearest futures contracts do not show a decrease and it is forecasted to exceed 70 euros per megawatt-hour,“ LEA head Agnė Bagočiutė told journalists on Monday.
