On Saturday, officers issued only two administrative offense protocols: one for consuming or possessing alcoholic beverages by individuals under twenty years of age, and one for a minor public order violation.

During the festival, two lost children were brought to the police officers on duty, and three items lost by festival participants were handed over.

In the police bus at Karlskrona Square, 197 people preventively checked their sobriety with an alcohol breathalyzer, whereas on the first day of the festival, only a few curious individuals had wanted to do so.

Not just one fight

On Saturday, there was no shortage of violent conflicts on the coast.

For instance, at about 3:10 PM, in Klaipėda’s Debreceno Street, in the courtyard of an apartment building, unidentified persons allegedly beat and injured a man born in 2004 during a conflict. After receiving medical assistance, he is being treated on an outpatient basis.

On July 25, a statement was also received from a young man born in 2002, stating that at about 5:30 AM, on Kurpių Street, near a bar, he was beaten by strangers.

At about 4:06 PM, in an apartment on Klaipėda’s Debreceno Street, 7 leaflets with what were possibly narcotic substances were found.

A summons to appear for questioning was issued to a young man born in 2000.

At about 8:50 PM, on Klaipėda’s Turgaus Street, a rolled cigarette was found on a young man born in 2009. He was not detained.

At about 9:30 PM, in Klaipėda, at the intersection of Vėžėjų and Turgaus streets, a possibly narcotic substance was found on a man born in 1983. He was detained and placed in a detention facility.

And that was not the end. At about 11:00 PM, on Klaipėda’s Jono Street, a bag with a possibly prohibited substance was found on a young man born in 2007. He was issued a summons to appear for questioning.

Pre-trial investigations have been initiated regarding all these incidents.

A drunk driver was also caught on Saturday. At about 9:21 AM, in the parking lot of an apartment building on Kauno Street, a “Toyota” car was stopped, and its driver, born in 1995, was found to have an intoxication level of 1.7 per mille.
