The first goal of the match came in the 8th minute. Then the team’s newcomer Ivan Fioličius made a pass from the corner flag. Rokas Lekiatas was the first to reach the ball. He adjusted his playing tool a bit and struck accurately into the goal (1:0).
The second goal came in the 42nd minute. Nosa Edokpoloras found himself on the left side of the field. He passed to Haris Kadričius in the penalty area, and his header pierced the net (2:0).
In the second half, in the 68th minute, the Kaunas team returned to work. Receiving a pass from H. Kadričius, Fabien Ourega deceived two opponents and sent the ball into the top corner of the goal.
The last goal of the match came in the 72nd minute. The “Šiauliai” goalkeeper Gustas Baliutavičius, who poorly passed the ball, soon had to pull it out of his own goal. Gratas Sirgėdas was just a few meters from the goal, and the Kaunas advantage became overwhelming (4:0).
After these matches, “Kauno Žalgiris” has 34 points in the Top League and is in first place, while “Šiauliai” suffered their sixth consecutive defeat in the Lithuanian championships. They have 13 points and are in last, 9th place.
