Such decisions were made on August 26 by the Lithuanian Radio and Television Commission (LRTK). During the monitoring carried out by the Commission, it was found that content illegally published on previously blocked pirate websites became accessible under new domain names.

New mirror domains for the pirate websites „Kinocoin“, „Rezka“, „BMovies“, and „YTS“ have been identified. In total – 11 „Kinocoin“, 9 „Rezka“, 10 „BMovies“, and 10 „YTS“ copies. The LRTK determined that the copyrighted content accessible on them is almost identical to the content illegally published on the original websites, and the websites themselves provide access to the same activities.
„Blocking pirate websites is not a one-time action. When one domain is blocked, new ones often appear in its place, attempting to continue distributing the same content. Therefore, we constantly monitor whether previously blocked websites reappear at other addresses, and we react to such attempts,“ says Mantas Martišius, Chairman of the LRTK.
For example, the films „Shoplifters“ („Vagiliautojai“) and „Proxima“ were illegally published on the previously blocked „BMovies“ website. In August, after conducting monitoring, the LRTK identified 10 new domains where these films were again accessible. Among them are domains using the names „123Movies“, „FMovies“, „LookMovie“, „ZMovies“, and „AZMovies“.

A similar situation was found with other previously blocked websites. In the case of „Kinocoin“, the films „Rock the Kasbah“ and „Incarnate“ were accessible on new domains; for „Rezka“ – „What Men Are Doing!“, „Double“, and „Happy New Year, Moms!“; and for „YTS“ – „Everly“ and „Maps to the Stars“.
Internet access service providers are obliged to remove access to these websites by DNS blocking no later than 5 days from receiving the decisions. Users attempting to connect to them will be redirected to the LRTK information page stop.rtk.lt.
The LRTK constantly monitors already blocked websites and their copies. If new domains are identified that provide access to the same activities and where almost identical illegally published content is accessible, a decision may be made to block these domains as well.
