The match, which lasted one and a half hours, required two tiebreaks, both of which V. Gaubas won – 7:6(7), 7:6(5).

This victory secured not only a ticket to the semifinals for the Lithuanian but also 35 ranking points and a check for 10.6 thousand euros.

In the fight for the final, V. Gaubas will face the tournament favorite, Argentine Facundo Diaz (ATP-107).

It is worth noting that this was already the third head-to-head match between V. Gaubas and Th. Monteiro and the first victory.
