Full statistics: how many people were born, how many died, and how many live now in each municipality of Lithuania last year?

Previously, we wrote about which municipalities in Lithuania have the deepest demographic decline and where the situation is the best. In this article, you will find the complete statistics of all 60 Lithuanian municipalities.

The municipalities are listed in alphabetical order. We provide the number of births in each municipality in 2025, the number of deaths in each municipality in 2025, as well as the population of each municipality as of January 1, 2026, and the number of births per thousand inhabitants in each municipality in 2025.

The list was compiled based on information published by the municipalities themselves on their websites, in the civil registry sections. Many of them regularly update statistics on how many people are born and die in the municipality.

In cases where publicly published statistics were not found, we contacted the municipalities directly.

We did not include births abroad in the statistics.

Data on the population of all municipalities as of January 1, 2026, is published by the Registry Center. Based on this data, we calculated the number of births per thousand inhabitants.
