Among her duties was overseeing the execution of service purchase contracts concluded by VASA.
The investigation was initiated following a statement from VASA.
The court found that G. V., abusing her official position and seeking financial gain in 2022–2023, purchased part of the goods and services under these contracts not for VASA’s needs but for personal use. To conceal these circumstances, she forged documents and submitted them to the company’s accounting department for payment.
These actions caused significant non-material and material damage to the municipal company and the state – more than 113 thousand euros. The material damage was compensated during the pre-trial investigation.

After consolidating the sentences, the court imposed a fine of 165 thousand euros on her. Since the case was examined under a simplified procedure, the penalty was reduced by one third, resulting in a final fine of 110 thousand euros.
The court also imposed a criminal sanction – depriving her of the right to be elected or appointed to positions elected or appointed in state or municipal institutions and their establishments and companies for three years. This term is counted from the date the court’s criminal order becomes final.
The investigation was controlled and led by prosecutors from the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Division of the Vilnius District Prosecutor’s Office.
