The warning applies to the herbal tea “Verdin Fix Kompozycja 6 ziół” (20 bags, 36 g).

The following batches are being recalled: L:26/077P; L:26/068N

The expiration date for both batches is March 31, 2028.

The manufacturer has stopped supplying these batches to the market and has started their recall. Polish food control authorities are investigating all circumstances together with the company.

What do specialists recommend?

The Polish State Sanitary Inspection indicates that the contaminated product may pose a health risk, especially if salmonella bacteria from the tea or its packaging get on hands or other surfaces.

However, experts from the National Institute of Public Health emphasize that if the tea was prepared according to the instructions on the packaging, i.e., brewed with boiling water, the risk of live salmonella bacteria getting into the prepared drink is much lower.

Nevertheless, consumers are advised not to drink tea from these batches.

If symptoms typical of food poisoning occur after consumption – diarrhea, abdominal pain, fever, nausea, or vomiting – it is recommended to consult a doctor.
