The Moroccan women’s football club “Maghreb Atletico Tetuan” announced the death of footballer Faten Ben Amar El Azizi.

It is reported that the footballer, along with thousands of other migrants, tried to cross the sea to overcome the border between Morocco and Spain and disembark in Ceuta, a Spanish city on the African continent. However, her life was lost without reaching the goal.
The Moroccan press reports that the young footballer sought a “better life and future that awaited her on the other side of the border”.
In total, about 60,000 migrants tried to cross the border on Thursday, and at least 67 of them tragically died, reports Spanish services. Many of them drowned in the sea.

However, the next day most of the migrants were returned back to Morocco.
