A footballer born in California, whose roots also trace back to Mexico and India, played in the Puerto Rico championship this year and previously competed in US university teams.

The versatile player has played on the wings, as a forward, and as an attacking midfielder. She arrived in Vilnius at the beginning of the week and was officially registered with the team on Sunday after completing formalities.
“I feel good, only the time zone difference makes it harder to sleep so far. I really like Vilnius – the city is beautiful, the weather is great, and the people are very kind. I also like the atmosphere of the team and coaching staff. I look forward to getting to know my teammates better and building relationships both on and off the field. I believe the rest of the season will be great,” said the new “Žalgiris” player.
Kiran became interested in football as a child when she spent three months with her family visiting relatives in India and Germany.
“They had a football, so every day we would go outside and play. When I returned to the US, I told my mom I wanted to play football. At first, I played for fun, but I was noticed and invited to join a competitive team,” the American said.

She played football in various Texas state teams and represented the University of Texas at San Antonio team. Later, she played for Kansas State University and Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At Kansas State University, she earned a bachelor’s degree in life sciences and completed a minor in psychology, and at Oral Roberts University, she obtained a master’s degree in management.
Since the beginning of this year, she has represented Puerto Rico’s “Coamo FC” team, scoring 9 goals in 10 matches.
“After the stage in Puerto Rico, I received an offer through my agent. I wanted to play in Europe, to experience different cultures and playing styles. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be here,” added K. Singh.
FK “Žalgiris” women’s team will play their next match on Sunday away against Kauno rajono FA, and at home on August 30 will host the multiple national champion Šiauliai “Gintra.”
