The Slovenian team took the lead when Svitas Sešlar converted a penalty in the 22nd minute, but the Armenians responded with two accurate shots – scored by Arturas Serobyan (38 min.) and Franca (70 min.).
Three Lithuanians representing “Celje” – Armandas Kučys, Artemijus Tutyškinas, and Pijus Širvys – started the match in the starting lineup.

Forward A. Kučys, who did not score, was substituted in the 64th minute, while defenders A. Tutyškinas and P. Širvys played the full 90 minutes.
The return match will be played by the teams on August 11 in Slovenia.
The winner of this pair will play in the decisive qualifying round against “Mjallby” (Sweden) or Bratislava “Slovan” (Slovakia). The losing team will move to the UEFA Europa League qualifiers.
