Customers are urged not to click these links, as „Via Lietuva“ does not send any messages of this nature and does not collect fines. Please report such messages to the National Cyber Security Center.

Upon receiving an SMS message, we urge you to:

– pay attention to the sender’s phone number, who the specific sender is, as well as the links sent;

– scammers spreading false messages often use not only Lithuanian but also foreign country phone number codes (for example, +63 or +44, etc.). By clicking malicious links, customers learn that they allegedly have been fined and are urged to pay;

– scammers often try to create a sense of urgency – to pay the fine as soon as possible, for example, within one day;

– a fake website by scammers is revealed by an inaccurate internet address, grammatical and stylistic errors, a “strange” design, pop-up windows, lack of selection for all vehicle categories (in Lithuania, M2-M3, N1-N3 category vehicles are charged), limited payment options (usually only by credit card), etc.;

– „Via Lietuva“ does not send any QR codes, so if you notice “new” technologies used on a website, i.e., receiving a QR code redirects to an “x” website, its verification is visually more difficult – stay vigilant, check if you are really on the official website dedicated only to distributing Lithuanian e-vignettes.

If you clicked a link or entered data:

– immediately contact your bank, change your internet banking passwords, monitor your bank account transactions. If you provided payment card details – block the card.

Additionally, we draw attention that before purchasing an e-vignette, it is necessary to ensure that you are buying on the official website dedicated only to distributing Lithuanian e-vignettes https://www.keliumokestis.lt/.

We also remind you that the price of e-vignettes is fixed, regulated by law, so any additional fee or offered discounts are not possible and signal that you are buying an e-vignette on an illegal website.

E-vignettes are also distributed by more than 70 distributors providing road user charge collection services.
