On August 18, an officer of the Šiauliai Prison of the Lithuanian Prison Service noticed a package hanging on the security fence near the guard tower during patrol. Upon inspection, two mobile phones – “BM 222” and “Mini phone” – were found inside. The phones did not have SIM cards.

Two charging cables for mobile devices were also found in the package.
An investigation is underway regarding the incident.
