TV3 sports news presenter Saulius Nalivaika shared on his Facebook account what he heard after a BMW car crashed into a famous Vilnius hotel on Friday.

“Like in a movie – I’m standing at an intersection, a BMW is flying at high speed in the center in front of my eyes, doesn’t take the turn and crashes into a hotel.
I call 112 – I’m not sure if there are any casualties, because the scene looks gruesome.
The dispatcher asks: “Maybe they will fill out the traffic accident declaration themselves then?” yeah, right… themselves…
The young people who jumped out rejoice in Russian: “The most important thing is that nothing happened to US” …
“Us”?…not to other people, but to us.
The biggest problem after such incidents is not a broken car or windows, but that irresponsible attitude that only we ourselves are important.

As 15min learned from the police, the incident was reported around 10:11 PM. Initially, it was stated that the car drove into the building, another caller clarified that the BMW crashed into a well-known hotel.

According to police data, the BMW driver lost control of the car, and no one was injured in the accident. Preliminary data indicates the driver was sober.
In the photos taken by 15min photographer Patricija Adamovič, it can be seen that the car crashed into the windows of a restaurant located in the hotel, also hitting tables. During the accident, a small tree was knocked over, and the cafe’s windows were shattered.









According to witnesses, at least two young men were in the BMW car. After the accident, they got out themselves and did not require medical attention.
