Three talented Kaunas "Žalgiris" basketball players are moving across the Atlantic

Kauno “Žalgiris-2” team member Ilja Kurucas, who played on loan in Liepaja and Tallinn this season, is moving to play in the USA. The 205 cm tall Latvian will represent Georgia Institute of Technology from next season, which Moses Wright also graduated from.

Meanwhile, it was previously announced that two more young Žalgiris players – Dominykas Daubaris and Jokūbas Rudaitis – are also moving overseas. The latter will play for Arizona State University’s “Sun Devils” team, while D. Daubaris will wear the California University’s “Golden Bears” team jersey.

D. Daubaris averaged 10.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 9.5 efficiency points among the young Žalgiris players in the “URBO-NKL” championship. The tall player also managed to debut with the main team’s jersey – in the Lithuanian Basketball League, sponsored by “Betsson”, D. Daubaris played 7 games and scored 8 points against the Kėdainiai team.
