The situation was complicated not only by the fact that the searches took place in a mountainous and forested region, where movement was mostly on foot, but also by weather conditions – dense fog prevented the search helicopter from taking off. Nevertheless, drones were successfully launched, and searches were also conducted with ATVs.
According to unofficial data from the Polish Press Agency PAP, the helicopter flight was private, related to Hungary, from which the aircraft crashed on its return.
So far, the authorities have not announced anything about the possible causes of the accident.
