As reported by the Kaunas Fire and Rescue Department, a fire report in Zapyškis eldership, Braziūkai village, Rato street, was received on September 18, around 22:24.
When firefighters arrived, the utility building had already collapsed and was burning with open flames. The residential house located 22 meters away had also started to burn.
During the fire, a wooden utility building, which contained a large amount of firewood and construction wood, burned down. A wooden woodshed standing nearby also burned down.
The roof and its structures of the building burned, and the interior of the house with the furniture and other household items inside was destroyed by fire.

Firefighters managed to save three buildings – two utility buildings and a residential house standing about 10 meters away.
While extinguishing the fire, water was transported from an artificial water source located half a kilometer from the incident site.
