“The meadow of the White Bridge is one of the most actively used city spaces for events. Over the past few years, it has become clear that the existing infrastructure is insufficient for such a number of events – there was no official access road, so trucks traveled over the grass and its condition deteriorated significantly. By installing a separate access road for trucks and a zone for food trucks, the meadow will be protected during events, and pedestrian and bicycle paths will not be blocked. We hope that after restoring the grass, people will return to the meadow to relax, exercise, and spend time in other ways,” says Vilnius city mayor Valdas Benkunskas.
The new access road is adapted for trucks delivering stages, technical equipment, and other inventory needed for events. Its width and other solutions have been coordinated taking into account the needs of event organizers.
During the works, the existing concrete paving will be rearranged and expanded, a turning area and a parking zone for service vehicles will be installed. A separate zone for mobile food trucks with electricity supply will also be installed near the entrance – this way, during events, they will not occupy pedestrian and bicycle paths.

Outside of event times, the access road will be reserved only for pedestrians – car traffic will not be allowed here. The service for the White Bridge “food hall,” as before, will be through Tolerancijos Street.
