A reader contacted the 15min editorial office, stating that the internal systems of “Tez Tour” have not been working for the third consecutive day, and the travel agency is currently unable to perform its usual tasks.

“Tez Tour is dead,” the reader stated.
Explained what happened
Inga Aukštuolytė, head of communications and marketing at “Tez Tour,” informed the 15min portal that work is proceeding as usual, but due to prolonged technical work, the travel search is temporarily not working.
“All work is proceeding as usual: all internal systems are functioning, travelers are being served, flights are operating according to schedule. Due to prolonged technical work, the travel search is temporarily not working, so we cannot accept new orders. The operator managing this system is striving to complete the work as soon as possible. We apologize to customers for the inconvenience,” she wrote in the sent comment.
The reader who contacted 15min also drew attention to a strange connection. According to him, around the same time, a cyberattack was reported against “Tez Tour” infrastructure in Russia and Belarus.
“Therefore, a natural question arises: is this just a coincidence, or have the consequences of the cyber incident reached the systems used in Lithuania as well? So far, there is no official answer as to why the Lithuanian ‘Tez Tour’ systems are not working. A strange coincidence, especially considering what is happening these days with ‘Tez Tour’ systems in other countries,” the reader wrote in a letter to 15min.

Indeed, the independent Belarusian news portal “Reform.news” reported in mid-September that hackers had broken into the official “Tez Tour” website. Reports state that the attack disrupted the normal operation of the website, with hackers claiming to have destroyed more than 45 million order records and 252 million transaction records.
Asked about connections to the hacker attack in Belarus and Russia, I. Aukštuolytė emphasized that the tour operator has no connections with Russian or Belarusian citizens or any businesses in these countries.
100% of the shares of UAB “Tez Tour” belong to the Spanish company “Germesinvest,” whose main shareholder is a Bulgarian citizen. “Germesinvest” manages companies operating under the “Tez Tour” name in Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Bulgaria.
