Famous couple separated – Aistė Jasaitytė-Čeburiak and Romanas Čeburiakas: marriage lasted 17 years

According to Žmonės.lt, the divorce case was opened on Thursday afternoon.

The couple married in 2009 and chose a romantic and unconventional location for their wedding – they married according to a pagan ceremony in the Europos Parkas near Vilnius. The couple had two daughters – Elzė and Sofija.

The wedding ceremony included pagan rituals: the bride and groom and guests walked through seven bands of the goddess Laima, while the priestess marrying the couple offered salt and grains to the pagan gods and asked for their favor. The priestess invited the mothers and grandmothers of the newlyweds to kindle the symbolic family hearth.
