One car was recorded driving at 191 km/h, another at 218 km/h, and yet another at 215 km/h. The highest recorded speed reached as much as 231 km/h.

So in some cases, the speed limit was exceeded by more than 100 km/h.
“Some drivers really want to test what their car can do, but these tests far exceed the allowed speed limits,” the police report.

According to officials, drivers face fines of 450–550 euros and driving license suspension from one to six months for such violations.
The police also reminded that Safe Traffic Days are taking place from September 16–22 and urged drivers to behave responsibly on the road.
