New chiefs of the Biržai and Kupiškis district police commissariats have been elected.
Today, June 3rd, two selections were held at the Police Department, during which the chiefs of the Biržai and Kupiškis district police commissariats of the Panevėžys County Chief Police Commissariat were elected.

Jaunius Jurelevičius was elected chief of the Biržai district police commissariat, and Aidas Švaikauskas was elected chief of the Kupiškis district police commissariat.
J. Jurelevičius is a police officer with many years of experience, having served for more than 30 years. He began his service in the police in 1994 at the Biržai district police commissariat, serving as a junior inspector of the Road Police. Since 2016, he has been heading the Response Division of the Biržai district police commissariat of the Panevėžys County Chief Police Commissariat, and recently he has also temporarily performed the functions of the chief of the Biržai district police commissariat.
A. Švaikauskas, elected chief of the Kupiškis district police commissariat, also boasts over 30 years of police service experience. Over the past decade, he led the 2nd Operations Division of the Kaunas County Chief Police Commissariat. During his service, A. Švaikauskas has been repeatedly commended for professional work, merits, and exemplary service.
