Absas Mechialas revealed on “TikTok” that there are not only better days to book vacations but also better times. “When is the worst time to book a vacation and when are they actually the cheapest?” he asked his followers in a video, according to the “Daily Express.”

Strangely, based on research, Absas stated that every day there is a time period when booking a vacation can cost significantly more.
“According to the data, the most expensive time to book is from 9 to 10 a.m.,” he explained. “Bookings during that period were about 30 percent more expensive than at the cheapest time of day, so you shouldn’t book a vacation just after logging in in the morning.”

Speaking about the most economical time of day, Absas advised that you might need to set an alarm. “Early… and I mean very early,” he said. “From 4 to 5 a.m. is the cheapest time.”
Absas pointed out that demand “drops” overnight and as a result prices “reset” to their original level. He explained: “Then, as the day goes on, the more searches and clicks there are, the more prices start to rise again.”
However, for those who don’t want to get up before dawn, Absas offered tips worth trying.

Late evening, roughly between 8 and 10 p.m., is usually noticeably cheaper than the morning peak, he said. “But if you want to go further and find the exact moment – not just the hour but the minute – according to the data the cheapest time to book a vacation is 2:48 a.m.”
Surprisingly, bookings made at that exact time were on average up to 60 percent cheaper, Absas reported. However, he added: “This should be taken with caution – booking at 2:48 a.m. doesn’t mean all trips will be 60 percent cheaper, but the trend is clear: if you want to save, avoid peak hours, because timing, as in many financial matters, makes a big difference.”
In response, one “TikTok” user shared their unverified advice: “It’s best to search in private browsing so prices don’t increase if you’re looking at the same places. Prices rise with demand, so private browsing helps avoid that.”

A second person added: “I usually book 72 hours before departure… about 50 percent cheaper! I find the hotels I want and wait for them to go on sale.”
A third said: “Wow, how the time of day can affect prices!” And a fourth “TikTok” user commented: “Prices don’t change if you want a certain resort at a certain time of year.”
