„We had to act out a love scene. We were rehearsing the play based on Chekhov’s ‘The Seagull’ and I played Arkadina, while Rinkūnas played Trigorin. It was an intense love scene and somehow I misjudged my strength at that moment and hit him in the face. Then we took Rinkūnas to the hospital because his eardrum burst,“ the actress said on the LNK show „Šeškinės 20“.

A. Šataitė also recalled the beginning of her acting career on the show. At first, she enrolled to study directing, but after a year she realized she wanted to be on stage rather than behind it.
„I enrolled in directing, but after a year I realized I didn’t want to be behind the stage, I wanted to be on stage. I just felt maybe I wasn’t smart enough to be a director. This happened because in 12th grade I didn’t understand the system that you get admitted where you put first. So I just wrote: directing, acting – I simply listed where I wanted to go,“ Agnė laughed.
A. Šataitė’s first role in a TV series awaited her while she was still a student – in „Garbės kuopa“ she played a couple in love together with Audrius Bružas. But to film, she first needed permission from her study supervisor Rimas Tuminas.
„The first series I acted in was ‘Garbės kuopa’. Audrius Bružas and I played lovers and Raimondas Banionis was casting. I was still a third-year student then. I was very afraid to ask Tuminas to let me film because it was said that filming was not allowed. That it was bad, it would harm, and so on. But since it was Banionis, Tuminas let me go on the condition it was with Banionis,“ the actress shared.
Other actors from „Rimtų reikalų“ also visited „Šeškinės 20“ – Patricija Glodenytė and Mantas Cegelskas. P. Glodenytė said that on set the series actors became like one family, and the different generations do not create a divide.
„We all feel like a family. There isn’t a big divide. It’s very nice. The advice isn’t like ‘do this or that,’ it’s more familial. We all get along so well,“ she said.
After studying acting in London, P. Glodenytė first filmed a cameo role in the series „Man reikia meilės“, and a few months later received a call that changed her plans.
„I remember, I came back from London to pursue a career here in Lithuania and filmed a cameo role in the series ‘Man reikia meilės’. Then a few months later I got a call: ‘Hello, Patricija, your time has come. We want to invite you to the casting for ‘Rimtų reikalų’.’ That’s how I came to the casting and then my journey began,“ the actress said.
At the same time, M. Cegelskas combines acting with a very different job – he works as an education leader at a school and, as he jokes, he is the one who has to resolve conflicts there.
„Yes, I still work at school. I am an education leader. I handle all the conflicts at school, and also if someone needs to be expelled,“ Mantas said.
Although his character in „Rimtų reikalų“ has shot other characters multiple times, the actor assured that no one at school is afraid of him because of that.
„No, they’re not afraid. I think I am very different from the character I play. I am really a warm person,“ the actor said.
