The minister promises to present the planned changes in October.
“We plan to come out with public proposals already in October and expect support in parliament for passing the laws. There is a certain possibility of creating an island regime to achieve flexible electricity generation, with devices decentralized in different parts of Lithuania, with a total capacity of up to 800 megawatts,” the minister said to LRT radio on Wednesday.

“In this way, we could be even more confident that in the event of various situations, the network’s ability to provide services could operate in isolated regional modes,” he added.
