“It was not an easy decision, but it was not made in a day. I had to think everything through, how to take care of the children and all other matters. But I felt bad in the relationship, so I had to decide what to do,” the woman said in Renata Šakalyte’s tv3.lt podcast “Let’s Talk.”
When asked what was most lacking in the former relationship, V. Mykolaitytė named emotional discomfort. To preserve her emotional health and peace, she chose to break up the family. Although the couple attended psychological consultations, it did not help. “I realized that the relationship lasted only as long as I put in my strength and inner power. I thought, how much longer can this go on,” the interior designer admitted.
Often after a divorce, people need a long time to recover, but Viktorija’s experience was different. The woman admits that after making the decision, everything fell into place: “Everything was fine with me, finally the peace I needed came.”
During the show, V. Mykolaitytė also denied possible speculations that her divorce was influenced by the bond formed with her current boyfriend N. Šulija. The woman assured that these were completely different periods. “I had already suggested divorce to my husband several times before. But I still tried to stay for the children until I finally made the fateful decision,” she said in Renata Šakalyte’s tv3.lt podcast “Let’s Talk.”

Talking about her current boyfriend, Viktorija smiled – the feelings did not ignite suddenly but developed gradually. The couple met a little over a year ago. At first, they were connected by mutual friends and friendly communication, later they found common interests. The interior designer hinted that she even observed the wine-making process from Naglis.
The woman also shared a humorous detail during the show – the well-known weather forecaster and astrologer N. Šulija even checked if they were compatible according to the stars. “Everything matches,” Viktorija laughed.
Although the woman now enjoys a harmonious relationship, when asked about possible weddings in the future, she remains rational. According to her, marriage is mostly necessary for legal nuances – for example, the ability to make medical decisions or visit a spouse in the hospital.
“But essentially, it should not affect the relationship itself,” V. Mykolaitytė considered, but immediately added mysteriously: “I am one of those who never say never.”
