The vote of no confidence was signed by 33 members of the Seimas from the opposition Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats, Liberal Movement, and the ruling Democratic factions.
According to the Seimas statute, at least one-fifth of the parliamentarians, that is no fewer than 29, can dismiss an official appointed by the Seimas.
