27 – a stylistic code revealing the collection’s idea
The new AIRIDA SKRICK 2027 collection is marked by the code 27 – it is not only a reference to the year but also a stylistic code that contains the idea behind the formation of the collection. The number 2 signifies duality, and 7 – repetition and rhythm.

“Duality in the collection appears between strict construction and soft draperies, between static and transformable forms, silhouettes that emphasize the body and those that consciously change it. Even the leather itself has two different sides – it can be firm, almost architectural, and at the same time soft, moving, and sensual. I associate the idea of seven with repetition, rhythm, and changes in form. Certain lines, construction solutions, colors, and transformations return in different models but each time appear slightly differently,” explains designer Airida Skrickienė in a press release.

Special attention – to natural leather
Although leather is usually associated with outerwear, in the “Airida Skrick” collection it fills the entire wardrobe: from leather shirts and trousers, jackets and skirts to leather coats and transformable evening dresses.
The designer focuses on the technological challenges of leather, a material that requires special precision, patience, and craftsmanship: “The technology of sewing leather is completely different from that of regular fabrics; it is not only sewn but also glued, shaped, and seams are hammered. Moreover, when working with leather, there is almost no room for error – every needle prick leaves a mark, so you cannot simply undo and resew leather as you would with fabric.”

A. Skrickienė is fascinated by the unique character of leather: it can be both stiff and soft, plastic, shaped by draperies, and very feminine. The new collection presents not only structured leather coats but also jackets, skirts, and dresses shaped with leather ruching or draperies.
“In the collection, I wanted to reveal both sides of leather – not only its firmness but also its ability to move and transform. Today, leather gives me a lot of creative freedom but also poses significant technical challenges, and this complexity particularly interests me,” says the founder of the fashion house “Airida Skrick.”

Transformable elements creating a dialogue between the garment and the person
The new “Airida Skrick” collection features transformable details that have already become a distinctive trait of this fashion brand. In some models, wire is sewn into the edges of belts, collars, and pocket openings, allowing the garment to be shaped by hand, changing its line – from straight to wavy, from static to curved or more sculptural.
There are also detachable or unfastenable elements; for example, the drapery of the blue leather dress can be unfastened, and its edge can be left smooth or shaped wavy. The long black crocodile leather textured dress can be transformed with zippers.

These fasteners create a silhouette with an open back and a high slit, and when fastened, the dress becomes completely closed. The collar of the dress can also be changed – shaped high or folded over, creating a more open form resembling a calyx.
“It is important to me that the garment is not completely fixed, that it can be reshaped repeatedly. The interesting idea is that the garment should not have only one final state. I wanted to leave room for movement, individual shaping, and a certain dialogue between the garment and the person wearing it,” the designer says.
Deep, rich, and characterful autumn color palette
The 2027 collection features rich but somewhat muted colors: burgundy red, plum violet, emerald green, cognac brown, and dull blue.

“Although they are quite different, they all have a certain depth and maturity. I was looking for deep, rich, yet muted colors that would have their own character and whose beauty would be revealed by leather. I wanted the color to help highlight the garment’s construction, texture, and silhouette, so that different shades could work both separately and together, and the entire collection would remain cohesive,” says A. Skrickienė.

Additional expressiveness to the models is given by different textures of leather, from grainy, bison to embossed crocodile patterns. The designer emphasizes that when working with leather, color becomes very important because its surface, gloss, texture, and light reflections make each tone even more vivid.
Complex constructions and modern silhouettes
Each model presented in the collection has its own challenges, character, and creative story, but several designs this time required special technological knowledge and experience. According to the designer, one of the most technically challenging was a burgundy leather coat with three belts. Due to the thickness, texture, and complex construction of the leather, sewing it required great precision, a lot of patience, and work.
The collection also features a long leather skirt, whose unusualness is not immediately apparent – the front of the skirt is long, and the back is short.
“The idea of the asymmetrical skirt came from the desire to change the usual proportion. We are used to seeing models where the front is shorter and the back is longer. I wanted to reverse this logic – lengthen the front and shorten the back. This resulted in a somewhat unexpected, more graphic, and constantly changing form when moving.

The construction of the skirt is complex; the final result required even more working hours than some jackets. An important detail is the emphasized hips. Volume was created in that area, so the silhouette does not fall naturally – the hips are consciously reshaped, giving them sculptural qualities. I wanted not only to emphasize the body line but also to slightly reshape it,” explains A. Skrickienė about the creative process.
One of the most impressive models of the new collection is a leather coat in different colors.
“This model clearly shows and kind of summarizes the stylistic direction of the entire collection – a strong form, the character of leather, and the relationship of colors. I aimed to combine several rich but different colors in one garment so that they would not be just decorative accents but would become part of the construction itself. The color blocks in this model help highlight the shoulder line, waist, proportions, and the entire silhouette architecture. I was looking for a balance between a rather strict, structured form and femininity. I wanted the coat to be strong, graphic, and immediately noticeable but not overly decorative,” the creator says.

A special photoshoot for the new collection
In the AIRIDA SKRICK 2027 collection, leather becomes not only a material but a living, changing form that everyone can shape and interpret in their own way. This idea is also reflected in the collection’s photoshoot set in nature – photographed by Vaidas Jokubauskas, with creative direction and styling by Ula Kotryna Tulevičiūtė.
