Greek vice-champions revealed that as many as six team members contracted gastroenteritis during a friendly tournament on the island of Rhodes.
“Panathinaikos” was staying in the same hotel as the Athens AEK team, which also reported two players falling ill.
It is reported that some PAO team members even required medical assistance and a hospital visit. There are concerns that the illness may spread further and affect an even larger part of the team.

“Panathinaikos” is expected to play two more friendly matches in the Pavlos Giannakopoulos tournament on September 18 and 19, and will officially open the season on September 24 with a EuroLeague game against the “Paris” team.
