In Europe, calls to fight against "perverted" smart glasses are growing louder and louder

Sales of such glasses currently reach millions. In 2013, Google’s attempt to capitalize on this failed, but Meta’s smart glasses, developed in collaboration with Ray-Ban manufacturer EssilorLuxottica, proved much more successful. Last year, Meta sold about seven million pairs of glasses, compared to two million in 2023 and 2024. Other companies, including Google and Snap, are also preparing to launch AI-powered glasses.
