As reported by the Warsaw police, dramatic events were recorded at the beginning of August. At that time, three masked attackers broke into a shopping center. They smashed a display window with axes and then broke into and robbed one of the stores.

Their loot was modern electronic equipment, with a total value of as much as 207 thousand zlotys (about 48 thousand euros).
However, the robbers did not manage to get away. According to the police report, officers reconstructed the detailed course of the crime step by step during the investigation. They identified the tools used by the attackers, the cars they fled in, and the composition of the criminal group.
The investigation concluded in early September, when the criminals were detained. It turned out that three men, all Lithuanian citizens, fell into the hands of the police. Two of them were those who directly participated in the robbery committed in August.
“Everything indicates that the police took action at the last possible moment, as the criminals were preparing for another brutal attack. While searching the detainees and inspecting their cars, officers seized axes, crowbars, and pepper spray canisters, as well as masks and gloves that could have been used for another crime.
The detained Lithuanian citizens heard charges of robbery, burglary, and property destruction. At the prosecutor’s request, the court decided to detain two suspects,” the Warsaw police report states.
The Warsaw prosecutor’s office, overseeing the investigation, is also investigating whether this criminal group has committed other similar attacks in Poland and other European countries.
