The possibility of lending 16th–17th century furniture to the castle was discussed this week in Siesikai during a visit by the director of the Palace of the Grand Dukes Vytautas Dolinskas, the director of the Malbork Castle Museum in Poland Janusz Trupinda, and other museum professionals.

Among the possible exhibits are ornate chests typical of the Renaissance and early Baroque periods – cassoni.
According to the municipality, the museum professionals inspected the castle spaces, the fragments under restoration, and the surviving 17th-century wall paintings, and also discussed how the castle interiors could be brought closer to their historical character.

According to the municipality, the furniture from the Palace of the Grand Dukes collections would help strengthen the castle’s historical atmosphere and complement the narrative about the culture and lifestyle of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania period.
