Although these are real car racing events, all drivers can safely compete in them. However, due to the track’s specifics, the organizers can only accept 18 teams. Currently, 13 have registered, so you can still make it to this celebration of electric mobility and endurance.

Electric car racing teams will be divided into four classes based on the distance the cars can cover on a single charge. Each team can have from 2 to 10 racers.
One of the classes is “Renault Media,” where Lithuanian and Latvian journalist teams will race with “Renault 4” electric cars. Another team from Latvia will be made up of representatives of the country’s motorsport.
All three teams will be led by Mindaugas Plukys, who states that the “Renault 4” will not only compete for the class victory this year but will also aim for the overall first place.
Last year, the Lithuanian journalists’ team with the “Renault 5” managed to take second place overall. The winner was decided in the last minutes of the race. Since last year’s champions, “Antėja Racing Team,” will not defend their title this year, it is likely that the “Renault 4” could be one of the contenders.
“Porsche Lithuania” with the “Porsche Taycan” will also strive for victory. The team, made up solely of “Porsche Lithuania” employees and starting for the third time, climbs higher every year. Last year, they were third overall and second in their class. This year, with even more experience, the result will certainly be better.
It can already be said who will definitely achieve their goals. This team comes to have fun with the unique electric car – the “LIGIER JS60 Ultimate.” Its battery is only 11 kWh, the motor power is 6 kW, and the range is about 160 km.
Such a “LIGIER” can be driven from the age of 15, so underage racers will compete with it in the races. Linas Volungevičius has stood on the winners’ podium of Lithuanian and international karting races multiple times, has tested a “Formula 4” car, and is the only Lithuanian racer who managed to raise a budget for his racing career through crowdfunding.
His colleague is Gerardas Viskantas, a 15-year-old motorcycle racer whose passion for motorsport began at the age of nine. In 2025, he became the Pitbike Junior supermoto class champion, and this season he entered the world of circuit racing with a CFMOTO 450SR motorcycle in the Supersport 300 class.
In his first season, Gerardas won the title of Lithuanian road circuit vice-champion in his class and continues the season fighting for top positions in the Latvian, Estonian, and Baltic championships.
However, the experienced young racers can also reach the winners’ podium. While their small electric car charges, they will join the “Sun & Sky” team, where they will compete for the class winner’s title together with Ričardas Savickas and Mantas Klupšas.
Another newcomer in electric car racing can also contend for titles. The “Kroso takas” team consists of ten people – 8 drivers, team leader Vitalis Dulieba, and team mechanic Antanas Liubinas. The team formed very quickly because they wanted to contribute to improving the race track by connecting two different asphalt courts with a concrete surface.

The groundwork was excellently done by the construction company UAB “Lengridas” led by Modestas Žurauskas, who is also one of the race drivers, and UAB “Betono takas,” which installed the roughened concrete surface.
Several team members are racers representing the “Kupiškis auto – moto sportas ir 35 coliai” club, led by Saulius Valiukas. Interestingly, the team will include 14-year-old athlete Antanas Liubinas, who is the 2025 Aukštaitija and Žemaitija Cup 2nd place winner in the 1600 cm3 junior class and already this year is the 2nd place holder of the Lithuanian Championship Cup but in the 1600 cm3 adult class.
“Elinta SiC of Xi,” a Lithuanian EV racing team, will race with their hand-built electric sports car based on the Subaru BRZ platform. All main car components are created by Elinta Motors and 100% made in the EU, including the 800V SiC technology motor controller, achieving 99% efficiency.
Last year, the “Autofanai” EV enthusiasts’ team started the 24-hour endurance electric car race with the heavy “BMW i4.” However, the technical track showed that the car’s large weight requires too much energy, and lighter cars can demonstrate better results.
This year, the team made a strategic decision to change the car and will start as “MINI x Autofanai” with the compact “MINI Aceman SE.” The lighter and exceptionally maneuverable model will allow corners to be taken at higher inertial speeds and reduce energy consumption. We will see what result they achieve during the race.
Guests from Estonia will start with a “Nissan Micra” electric car. It is a sibling of the “Renault 5/4.” Last year, they raced with the “Nissan Ariya Nismo.” The car was powerful and suitable for long trips but finished third in its class on the Panevėžys track.
This year, the team will include journalists from the largest Estonian internet portals and newspapers. They know everything about electric cars and racing, so they will be among the biggest competitors not only in their class but also overall.
For the first time, a women’s team will participate in the “Eldrive” 24H electric car race. The “Ladies Go Racing Team powered by BYD” will start in Panevėžys with seven members – six team members and team leader Ugnė Ruškėnaitė. Ugnė already has two years of experience as a team leader in these races, so she is jokingly called the secret weapon against men with much more experience. This season, the women have already tested themselves in different motorsport formats and have repeatedly stood on the winners’ podium.
The leaders in short-term electric car rental, “Spark,” participated in the very first 24H electric car race at the Kuršėnai autodrome in 2022 with the “VW ID.3 Pro.” This year, the team returns to the race with the “Hyundai Inster” and believes that the smaller electric car will be more suitable for the winding Panevėžys track.
“Autobrava Motors” will start with the “MGS6 EV.” This is the latest model from the legendary British company. The manufacturer declares a range of 530 km. Well-calibrated accelerator and brakes allow the driver to accelerate and brake very precisely, and the steering mechanism is perfectly adjusted. This is a big advantage in the 24H electric car race.
