This September, IKEA reduced prices on more than 1000 products. Various storage solutions, including shelves and shelving systems, furniture. For example, armchairs and tables, as well as home accessories – from textiles to decorative elements – can now be ordered at even lower prices in IKEA stores and online. Setting up a home with everyday lower prices becomes even easier.
With summer over, light clothes are replaced by warmer ones, and jackets, shoes, and other autumn season items return to everyday life. The change of seasons is a good time to reorganize the wardrobe and make use of the available space. The good news is that this does not require a large budget. Morta Bučinskienė, head of the IKEA Interior Design department, shares practical tips and solutions under 20 euros that will help make the wardrobe more functional.
Every detail matters in small spaces
A practical addition to the wardrobe can be ALTARLIDEN wire baskets, priced from 4 euros. Baskets of different widths and depths help better utilize the available space. Due to the wire mesh construction, air circulates freely inside, so clothes and textiles stay fresh longer. “Together with the pull-out rail, the baskets are easy to pull out, making it simpler to see and reach everything inside. Also, they are light and convenient to use even for children,” emphasizes M. Bučinskienė.
A place for every item
One of the simplest ways to improve an existing wardrobe is to add boxes and various storage solutions that require no installation. The SKUBB series includes hanging boxes, shoe boxes, and storage bags suitable for both everyday and seasonal items. A set of six SKUBB boxes for 3.99 Eur (previous price – 4.49 Eur) is suitable for convenient storage of socks, underwear, and accessories. And a six-compartment hanging box for 8.99 Eur (previous price – 9.99 Eur) instantly provides extra space for folded clothes – it can be hung inside the wardrobe or on a separate clothes rack. Seasonal clothes or bedding can be conveniently stored in a zippered SKUBB box for 4.49 Eur (previous price – 4.99 Eur) and kept in the wardrobe or simply slid under the bed – this way, textiles will be neatly stored and protected from dust.
Matching hangers – a small change that transforms the entire wardrobe’s appearance. Solid wood hangers are sturdy and give the wardrobe a unified and aesthetic look. A set of eight BUMERANG hangers costs 5.49 Eur (previous price – 5.99 Eur) and is suitable for heavier clothes. Special skirt or trouser hangers help maintain order and reduce wrinkling of clothes.
“It’s a small change, but matching hangers can bring more order and visual unity to the entire wardrobe,” says the interior designer.
