“Sūduva” had built a 6-point lead over “Kauno Žalgiris,” which has now been halved. By the way, the Kaunas team has played one match less, so by winning that match, they could catch up with the league leaders.

The temporary capital team took the lead already in the 4th minute when Yukiyoshi Karashima intercepted the ball from the opponent right in front of the “Sūduva” goal and directed it into the net (1:0).
“Kauno Žalgiris” doubled the lead after half an hour – after a corner kick lifted by Leo Ribeiro, Gabriel Debeljuh headed the ball into the goal (2:0).

“Kauno Žalgiris” secured the victory after the break.
In the 69th minute, Amine Benchaibas scored a goal (3:0), and just a minute later, Renan Oliveira further increased the lead (4:0).
Jehor Tsykalo managed to reduce the score in the 88th minute (1:4), but in added time, Leonas Krekovičius scored the fifth goal for Kaunas, sealing the points (5:1).
