Famous chef invited a group of Lithuanian celebrities to an extraordinary evening: guests had to follow 1 rule

Tasting dishes from the restaurant founded by Michelin-starred chef M. Praškevičius attracted well-known faces and food bloggers alike. The foundation of Roman cuisine is simplicity and the quality of ingredients. The invited guests did not spare compliments for the authentic Italian cuisine and did not miss the chance to try the rarely found pizza romana in Vilnius – a light, thin pizza that allows each ingredient to shine.

As M. Praškevičius emphasized, the restaurant is not just a pizzeria. The entire team working together is proud of the extensive menu, which includes both appetizers and various pasta dishes.

“The atmosphere we create is relaxed and unpretentious. We don’t want to dictate how dinner should look but invite everyone to simply enjoy quality time with family or friends. We believe that Italian cuisine is loved by a wide variety of people, so this place is for anyone who wants to taste, share, and discover. Whether you choose light appetizers, pasta, or pizza – everyone can create their own Italian dining experience,” said M. Praškevičius.

“Tonight’s menu tasting was a true gastronomic journey to Italy, where I lived for two years and managed to travel through all its regions. I was sincerely surprised that the arancini prepared by Martynas were even tastier than in many places in Sicily itself! The perfectly made ‘Vitello Tonnato,’ silky pasta with burrata, and the perfectly tender octopus with potatoes reminded me of the best Italian traditions. And their pizzas are a separate masterpiece, especially the spicy ‘Diavola,’ which seems straight out of the ‘Divine Comedy.’ Undoubtedly, this is one of the most authentic and best Italian food experiences you can find outside Italy,” said I. Dūdaitė-Radžiūnė.

“For me, Italian food is definitely not just pasta and pizza. I really like meat and fish dishes, so I especially enjoyed how Martynas gourmetly prepared carpaccio, ‘Vitello Tonnato,’ and octopus. Italian food can be very diverse and not limited to just flour-based dishes. I also liked that everything was light, tasty, and there was no feeling of heaviness after dinner,” shared J. Gafaro.

“It’s great to have talents like Martynas in Lithuania. Talents who can convey so many different worlds – whether it’s an interpretation of Lithuanian dishes, Middle East fusion, or Italian cuisine. True talent is not having just one recognizable style but being able to have no single style and do everything you undertake very well.

Like many, I really love Italian food, but Italian cuisine has never been just pizza, pasta, or ravioli for me. That’s why tonight the appetizers pleased me the most. Salads, ‘Vitello Tonnato,’ croquettes, arancini, olives – everything was presented very beautifully, deliciously, and with character,” complimented U. Mikelevičiūtė.

“When I found out that the head chef of the restaurant is Martynas, it was immediately a sign of quality for me. After tasting, I realized my intuition was right. We had a wonderful evening with the family. We tried pasta, ravioli, pizzas, appetizers… We love Italy and its cuisine very much. You could say everything we ate was very tasty, prepared with quality, and most importantly – with great attention to flavor. ‘Ogmios miestas’ is one of our family’s favorite places. This restaurant will definitely be on our list of favorite restaurants,” said U. Siparė.

The well-known woman said that after having a daughter, the family’s priorities changed. Previously, when going to a restaurant, they valued it mostly according to their own needs. But now, traveling everywhere with their three-year-old daughter, one of the most important questions is whether she will have something tasty to eat here as well. “Tonight she definitely did! Uma was served a wonderful pasta that fully met the standards of our little gourmet,” smiled U. Siparė.

“Italian cuisine is one of my favorites. I adore everything made from flour, but I try not to overindulge. I like pizza, lasagna, pasta, and similar dishes. A very fun event, and tonight’s menu pleasantly surprised me – you can feel like you’re in Italy even in Lithuania,” shared I. Swan.
