According to the Ministry of Transport, the functions of the port operator and the commission it forms, their composition and working principles, the content of the competition conditions, the participation procedure, the evaluation of proposals and the determination of the winner, as well as other conditions, are established.
“This is a particularly important step so that we can start developing the southern part. (…) This is a necessary procedural step so that one of Lithuania’s strategically most important transport infrastructure projects can move from design to investor selection and practical implementation,” said Minister Juras Taminskas at the meeting.
