V. Zelensky reported that last night the Russians launched more than 70 missiles and 650 drones. About 100 more drones were also launched during the day.
“Unfortunately, our air defense supply level currently does not allow us to shoot down a large portion of the missiles. There were hits. 130 people were affected. Unfortunately, 22 people died, including two children. I express my condolences to all who lost loved ones and dear people,” said the Ukrainian leader.
The main targets of the Russian attack last night were Kyiv, the central city of Dnipro, and the eastern cities of Poltava, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia.
United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres “strongly condemned” the Russian attack, his spokesman said.
