The accident was reported by the portal “Alytaus gidas”.
According to the police, the report of the traffic incident was received around 12:45. The accident occurred in Nemunaitis eldership, Dušnonys village, Druskininkai street, on the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė road.

Cars “Volkswagen Touran” and “Volkswagen Golf” collided. According to preliminary data, the “Volkswagen Touran” was driven by a man born in 1963, accompanied by a female passenger born in 1966. The “Volkswagen Golf” was driven by a man born in 1991.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged in the accident. Medical assistance was needed for all three people in the cars – due to injuries sustained, they were taken to the hospital.

Special services worked at the scene, police officers regulated traffic.
