She was successfully supported by Djeneba N’Diaye. In 33 minutes, she scored 19 points (3/5 two-pointers, 3/6 three-pointers, 4/4 free throws), grabbed a rebound, and made 2 assists.
The standout player for Spain was Iyana Martin Carrion. In 24 minutes, she scored 20 points (4/8 two-pointers, 2/6 three-pointers, 6/6 free throws), grabbed 5 rebounds, and made 4 assists.
The next match for Mali will be against Germany, and for Spain – against Japan.
Germany – Japan 74:58 (28:11, 6:18, 24:10, 16:19)
The host Germans recovered after a poor start at the World Championship. Now all teams in Group A have an equal number of wins.
Frieda Buhner led the Germans to victory. She spent 25 minutes on the court, scored 19 points (5/8 two-pointers, 3/4 three-pointers), grabbed 4 rebounds, and made 3 assists.
In the Japanese team, only Kokoro Tanaka scored double digits. In 20 minutes, she scored 15 points (7/9 two-pointers, 0/6 three-pointers, 1/2 free throws) and grabbed 3 rebounds.
Nigeria – Hungary 67:71 (13:21, 13:15, 16:16, 25:19)
Nigeria suffered their second defeat in this tournament. The first time they lost to the South Korean team. Meanwhile, it was Hungary’s first victory in the championship. In the first match, they had no chance against the French.

The biggest contribution to the first victory was made by Dorka Juhasz. In 33 minutes, she scored 19 points (8/11 two-pointers, 1/4 three-pointers, 0/2 free throws), grabbed 16 rebounds, and made an assist.
Meanwhile, in the Nigerian team, Amy Okonkwo, who played 30 minutes, looked the best. She scored 17 points (2/4 two-pointers, 3/6 three-pointers, 4/4 free throws), grabbed 6 rebounds, and made 2 assists.
Now Nigeria faces a challenge from the French, and Hungary – from the South Korean team.

France continues undefeated, while this was South Korea’s first loss.

The duo Haeran Lee and Heo Yeeun did not save South Korea. Both scored 12 points each.
