The first round of talks in Mexico, overshadowed by US President Donald Trump’s pressure over tariffs, will continue until Friday.
Mexico’s Economy Minister Marcelo Ebrard said in a statement that the goal of the talks is to “establish concrete results that would benefit the region.”

“Mexico and the United States have once again confirmed their commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation to achieve a more integrated, dynamic, and robust North America,” he added in the statement.
