Fuel prices in Lithuania: gasoline and diesel are rising again

In Lithuania on Friday morning, the average prices of gasoline, diesel, and LPG increased by 1.44%, 0.92%, and 1.16% respectively. Fuel prices at gas stations in our country usually rise on Tuesdays and are gradually reduced on other days until the weekend. Retail prices are also influenced by increased wholesale fuel prices and more expensive oil.

Information about fuel prices was provided to the Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) on September 4 by 72 fuel trading companies operating 658 gas stations.

On September 4 until 10 a.m., data on fuel prices obtained from gas stations show that the lowest diesel price was at the “Stateta” network gas station in Alytus – 1.979 Eur/l.

The highest diesel price was at fifteen “Viada” network gas stations, seven “Circle K” network gas stations, and the “Degta” network gas station in Elektrėnai municipality – 2.299 Eur/l.

Diesel prices at gas stations on Friday morning ranged from 1.979 Eur/l to 2.299 Eur/l, with the average diesel price reaching 2.112 Eur/l, or 0.92% more than on Thursday (September 3), when it was 2.093 Eur/l.

The lowest gasoline price on Friday morning was at the “Eniris” network gas station in Plungė – 1.750 Eur/l.

The highest gasoline price was at twenty-five “Viada” network gas stations, eight “Circle K” network gas stations, and the “Degta” network gas station in Elektrėnai municipality – 1.999 Eur/l.

Gasoline prices at gas stations on Friday morning ranged from 1.750 Eur/l to 1.999 Eur/l, with the average gasoline price amounting to 1.869 Eur/l, or 1.44% more than on Thursday (September 3), when it was 1.843 Eur/l.

The lowest LPG price on Friday morning was at four “Madalva” network gas stations – 0.670 Eur/l.

The highest LPG price was at UAB “Tumasa” gas station in Mažeikiai district municipality (Židikiai) – 0.940 Eur/l.

LPG prices at gas stations on Friday morning ranged from 0.670 Eur/l to 0.940 Eur/l, with the average LPG price reaching 0.790 Eur/l, or 1.44% more than on Thursday (September 3), when it was 0.781 Eur/l.

The wholesale gasoline price in Lithuania on September 3 was 1.80 Eur/l, and the wholesale diesel price was 2.05 Eur/l (on September 2, the wholesale gasoline price was 1.74 Eur/l, and the wholesale diesel price was 2.03 Eur/l).

The Brent oil price on the market on September 3 was 95.52 USD/bbl (September 2 – 95.63 USD/bbl).
