“A progressive tax reform in the country was already carried out a little over a year ago, the largest revenues will be received next year for the defense fund, about half a billion euros. So today the tax issue is closed,” said Vaidas Augustinavičius, chief advisor to Gitanas Nausėda on economics and social policy, on Friday after the president’s meeting with ministers and institution representatives.
“However, in the president’s opinion, we must actively use other resources that increase the budget volume and do so promptly and quickly,” he added.
