Good news for travelers in Vilnius: JUDU day ticket will also be valid for boats

Vilnius ships run daily every 30–35 minutes and conveniently connect the main locations along the city riverbank: the “Business Triangle,” Žvėrynas Bridge, White Bridge, Green Bridge, King Mindaugas Bridge, Šilas Bridge, and Žirmūnai Beach. The boat trip is comfortable in any weather: the deck is covered with a roof protecting from sun or rain. The boats also offer free Wi-Fi, and travel information is provided on light boards.

Therefore, until the end of the shipping season, a day ticket for Vilnius residents will allow including one boat trip in their daily routes: for example, commuting to work by public transport in the morning, and after work – traveling home while seeing the capital from a different angle, from the boat deck. For those working in the “Business Triangle” or traveling towards Žirmūnai, a boat trip can also become a practical choice during peak hours, allowing to bypass traffic jams.

“We want trips in the capital to be not only convenient but also interesting. Seasonal shipping on the Neris allows us to offer this. Until late autumn, the day ticket will provide the opportunity to combine several modes of travel in daily routes – from trolleybuses and buses to boats. Such coordinated boat traffic with public transport allows flexible use of all mobility services – convenient transfers and reaching any city location,” says JUDU Value Creation Division Head for clients Jurgita Gaidienė.

How to get a boat ticket?

Vilnius public transport day tickets are recommended for those who plan to travel more frequently during the day and want to flexibly change routes. The ticket is valid for 24 hours from the moment of activation and allows unlimited transfers from one vehicle to another.

To enrich your routes with a trip on the Vilnius boat, just purchase a public transport day ticket in the JUDU app. Within 1 hour, the boat ticket will automatically appear in the app among the purchased tickets. The price of a 1-day ticket is 7.5 euros. The offer does not apply to discounted tickets.

In the JUDU app, you can not only purchase and activate tickets but also conveniently and quickly view public transport routes, real-time bus and trolleybus movements, plan trips, and pay for parking.

A route that invites discovery

Trips on Vilnius boats are not only a convenient transport alternative but also a unique way to get to know the city from another perspective. From the water, you can see unique bridge structures and the green Neris riverbanks, and the trip is enriched by the “Invisible Vilnius” audio guide. By scanning the QR code on the boat, passengers can listen to stories about life on the Neris banks, the craft of soul ferrying, and the famous capital bridges.

When purchased separately, a standard 90-minute boat ticket in the JUDU app costs 3 euros (4 euros when purchased on the boat), and a family ticket (for 2 adults and children) costs 7 euros (9 euros when purchased on the boat).
