“The Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania (LVAT) essentially dismissed the defendant – the State Language Inspectorate’s – appeal, and the first instance court’s decision was only changed regarding litigation costs,” LVAT representative Paulius Žeimys told BNS on Wednesday.

“To partially satisfy the appeal of the defendant State Language Inspectorate. To amend the decision of the Regional Administrative Court dated January 27, 2025. To annul the part of the Regional Administrative Court’s decision ordering the defendant State Language Inspectorate to reimburse the Vilnius District Municipality Administration 12,346 euros in litigation costs. To leave the other part of the Regional Administrative Court’s decision unchanged,” the LVAT ruling states.
